This year the Amsterdam Arena was again the location for Europe`s most important Fightevent: The K-1 GP Amsterdam 2008.
In Comparison to the previous year, there seems to be an even higher demand for this awesome event in the Fightsport world.
Thanks to Simon Rutz the promoter and organizer of this event in cooperation with K-1 Japan, we were again able to have a look backstage and attend the pressconference. We met a lot of friends and legends, as well as we attended Remy`s preparation before the fight and the mediarush after the fight.
The event was again perfect organized and performed. A great fightcard served for all the needs of a Fighter`s heart. We really love to see the increasing comfort and professionality in organizing this huge event.
Taking a look at our backstage report, the main part of the sportspress is reporting from the action in the ring, we are focussed on the enviroment, mood and action backstage as far it was possible for us.
Off course we saw some injuries and some more private details of the fighters. As we always respect the privacy of each participant in this game, we do not take photos from these happenings nor release such photos.
We also try to give some impressions from the life of the City Amsterdam and take you to locations outside, but near Amsterdam. This shall enable people from other countries(that can`t easily attend the event in the Netherlands) to imagine the life and the city in which the event takes place.
We always try to mix our report with some cultural issues and impressions, because in our opinion both belongs together.
The report shall reflect the 2 days around the K1 Amsterdam GP and try to offer lots of impressions to the community of K1. Enjoy it.
